Control High Blood Pressure Naturally With Mudra and Yogasana

What causes high blood pressure?

High blood pressure, also called as Hypertension, is dangerous because it makes the heart work harder to pump blood to the body and development of heart failure. Nowadays we could find high bp even with adults. Few people hesitate to take medicines as they think it gives side effects. For such person we would like to share this yoga posture and mudra. There are many mudras for different ailments.

Lets see which mudra cures blood pressure:

What is Mudra?

Mudra is nothing but "FINGERS AS DOCTOR". Mudra is a way of SELF TREATMENT. Mudra is an art, taught to people with an intention that people treat themselves. We can only help others to do mudra, we can't do it for them. So practice mudra for good cause.

Before practicing mudra let me clear certain FAQ

Will there be any side effects for doing this mudra continuously?

When organism uses its knowledge, it's possible for it to kill itself using its own hands. Thus mudra is only a way to improve our body condition and does not create any disease. Hence you can use in secure feeling.

Ideal time for doing mudra is EARLY MORNING, if not possible any other time after 12.00a.m and 3.00a.m as this time considered to be sleeping state. 

There is no particular place for doing mudra as such. The place we sit and sleep is more than enough to do mudra.  

Result varies depending upon the severity. The effect of mudra can be felt by doing continuous usage.

Better not to have a insecure feeling whether it gives any side effect. 100% secure than medicines from outside. 

Its not advisable to do mudra while walking and standing as when our feet touch the floor there might be a possibility for the electricity gets generated in our body to flow into the ground and get wasted. 

It must be done by using both the hands. If in any case, do in single hand.

Patience and profound knowledge is important in doing mudra, beacuse we wont get disease all of a sudden. Initially it will create some discomforts and later it turns as a particular disease. It will take some time in that one tenth of the time for mudra to cure.  

One main thing we all should keep in mind is "Concentration". For what purpose we are doing mudra. If we have that awareness, sure you can see the difference. 
  

Mudra which we going to practice is called "RATTHA AZHUTHASAMANA MUDRA".  Lets see how to do 

As shown in the figure, in both the hands, fold your middle and the ring finger to touch the base of the palm, while the other fingers are straighten. 





Duration: 20-40 minutes

You can do this mudra at a stretch for 40 minutes or leave a gap and do. 

Benefits:

1. This mudra controls high bp
2. Reduce the pain in side of forehead.
3. Cure heart related problem.

Yoga asana:

There are many asanas that cures bp. Lets step into a easy method as below.

Janu Sirsanana:

This is one of the best asanas for blood pressure. Lets see how to do

Method to do:

 As shown in the figure, relax yourself before you start the asana. Breathe in and breathe out.

Sit on the floor, with right leg stretched straight in front.

Bend the left knee, keeping the outer side of left thigh and the left calf on the floor.

Sit on the floor, with right leg stretched straight in front.

Place the left heel against the inner side of the right thigh near the perineum. the big toe of the left should touch the inner side of the right thigh. 

Try and push the right knee as far back as possible, so the body is stretched from the bent leg.

Extend the arms forward the right foot and hold it with the hands. first catch the right foot, then gradually the sole, then the heel and finally extend the arms and catch the wrist of one hand with the other, beyond the outstretched foot. 

Keep the right leg stretched throughout by tightening the knee, see that the back of the right knee rests on the floor.

Relax and come back to normal position. You can repeat this asanas 3-5 times. 

2. Paschimottanasana

Sit on the floor with the legs stretched straight in the front. Place the palms on the floor by the side of the hips. take a few breathe.

Exhale, extend the hands upward and catch the toes as below. 

Hold the right big toe between the right thumb and the index and middle fingers and like wise the left big toe. 




Gradually try to bend, widen the elbows and try to touch the forehead to the knees. Gradually rest the elbows on the floor, stretch the neck.

The above two asanas is more powerful to reduce blood pressure and come into normal level.


Never force your body to cooperate when you perform any asanas. Do it in gently.

"Practice Makes A Man Perfect". So do practice this mudra and yoga asanas. If you cant find time to practice yoga regularly, you can very well do this mudra as it can be done in any palce. 

When this mudra along with the yoga asana be practiced, we could get the result as soon as a long term medicine cannot do. When you feel that your bp is getting increased just do this mudra, and see how it comes to your control.
